Vegan activist Tash Peterson staged another public stunt, this time at a crowded Nike store to film footage for her Instagram.

Peterson, 28, was fined $3,500 for two recent shirtless protests, including one at a luxury Perth boutique smeared in what she claimed was her own blood.

Peterson was put on trial for both protests, one outside Boatshed Markets in Cottesloe in December 2020 and another at the Louis Vuitton store in Perth CBD in August last year, denying her behavior was illegal or offensive.

Its latest protest, at Karrinyup Mall on Saturday, focused on kangaroo abuse, saying Nike “kills kangaroos and turns them into shoes”.

Painting herself pink with bloodstains and waving placards, Ms Peterson claimed Nike was responsible for “the holocaust of these delicate creatures”.

The stunt lasted about eight minutes before security escorted him from the storefront. From there, she continued to shout her speech through the packed weekend crowd.

“The biggest wildlife murder on earth ever is happening in our own country,” she posted on Instagram.

“Every night, thousands of kangaroos graze peacefully, as humans invade their lives and shoot them in the head for their flesh and skin. Mothers are brutally murdered while their terrified joeys are bludgeoned to death.

“It’s common legal practice in the industry to shoot a mother, rip her baby out of her pocket and crush her skull or hit her against a bulb. NIKE is responsible for the holocaust of these kind individuals because they turn their bodies into football boots.”

Peterson, who claimed she made $40,000 a month selling racy selfies on OnlyFans, started a GoFundMe to help pay her legal fees, but only raised $627.

Peterson stormed off to Louis Vuitton wearing only a flesh-colored thong with her torso covered in a red substance – which she claimed on social media was menstrual blood – on August 21 last year.

Accompanied by her boyfriend Jack Higgs and fellow animal advocate Arkadiusz Robert Swiebodzinski, Peterson shouted at customers, “There’s blood on your hands if you’re not vegan” and “if you’re not vegan , you paid for their brutal murder”. “.

Peterson says her fines would not deter her from her public activism.

“I actually find it very ironic that people find my conduct like that when they’re the ones paying people to stab animals in the throat,” she said.

KITTERY, Maine – As strong gusts of wind and heavy rain caused power outages and flooding around the Seacoast and southern Maine region on Monday, a large tree uprooted and toppled over the store Nike from the Kittery Premium Outlets.

Coincidentally, at the same time, the owner of a York-based tree care business said he had driven by the scene and witnessed the fall.

Kittery Police Department Chief Robert Richter said units were notified around 10:30 a.m. Monday that a tree had crashed atop the 345 U.S. Route 1 store during a storm that left thousands of people in southern Maine without power for several hours. A National Weather Service forecaster said wind gusts of up to 50 mph were felt around the coast with “hurricane-force” winds offshore.

A winter storm that blew through the Seacoast and southern Maine region on Monday caused a tree uprooting about 90 feet and crashing into the Nike store at Kittery Outlets. No injuries were reported.

Less than three hours later, around 1 p.m., Lee Tree Company was called to the scene – one of six calls they responded to on Monday for the removal of trees and branches following the outgoing storm.

“It’s a pretty standard operation for a tree company like ours,” he said.

Over the course of approximately two and a half hours, the Lee Tree Company used a crane to cut the approximately 90-foot fir tree into pieces and remove it from the roof. Lee explained that fir trees are surface-rooted trees, meaning their roots are visible on the ground, and the one that landed on the Nike store had a base about 28 inches wide.

PureGym is set to open its first site in Flintshire after receiving the green light from the local planning authority.

An initial planning application was filed by PureGym in January 2019 for a new gym in the double unit formerly occupied by Nike.

It was approved shortly before the UK went into lockdown in March 2020.

But the international gym chain’s interest in the site has cooled as the pandemic took hold and leisure facilities were forced to close.

In the meantime, Aldo shoes took over the unit by opening a ‘pop up’ shop in June 2020 to sell clearance inventory after the company fell into administration.

The plans were resubmitted by PureGym towards the end of last year, they were given the green light this week.

The initial request submitted by PureGym allowed for the redevelopment of a unit with the addition of a 505 m² mezzanine.

The new plan will see “the simple conversion of the whole unit to accommodate Pure Gym plus the introduction of a 186m² mezzanine”.

The approved proposal will be slightly smaller than the original plan with a total floor area of 1,048 m².

A document submitted by Tetra Tech Planning states: “These revised proposals are deemed to contribute positively to the existing retail/leisure offering occupying the park, while the proposed gym contributes directly to PPW’s wellness objectives. (Planning Policy Wales) to encourage active and healthier lifestyles. ”

“The gymnasium will provide new employment opportunities, both direct and indirect, and represent a positive investment in the community of Broughton.”

The application was endorsed by Flintshire council case officer Barbara Kinnear, in her report she said there was “no negative comment to be made, but it is possible that the music used to support the activities could cause problems to adjacent units and therefore suggests conditions to limit the music used in the operation of the gymnasium to be inaudible in one of the adjacent units.

Ms Kinnear said: ‘The unit is within the established commercial park of similar style units and uses and is currently in commercial use. The business park also has a number of recreational facilities such as a restaurant and cinema which are complementary uses to the overall retail park facility.

Most PureGyms are open 24 hours a day and offer cardio equipment, fixed and free weights, and exercise classes, there are over 200 pieces of workout equipment at most gyms.

Their website states, “We welcome everyone, regardless of size, ability, age, ethnicity, religion, gender, sex or sexual orientation. Our gyms are friendly, supportive and non-judgmental spaces where everyone can come in, train and leave feeling great.

Last month PureGym received a £300m capital investment to fund ‘ambitious’ expansion plans, with new venues planned in the UK and internationally.

Humphrey Cobbold, CEO of PureGym, said: “At PureGym, we are driven by a clear sense of our mission and purpose – ‘Inspiring a Healthier World’ – to make exercise more affordable and accessible to millions. of people.”

“We have a clear and deliverable growth strategy to ensure we deliver on this mission. Our objective is to continue our expansion and consolidate our leading positions in the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Denmark.

“Beyond Europe, we’ve established a groundbreaking franchise partnership in the Middle East, exciting early-stage discussions with potential franchise partners in Asia, three test sites preparing for launch in the U.S. United and an exciting digital fitness development plan.”

“With health and wellness at the top of the global agenda, we now have the capital, capabilities, technology and leadership team to become a global fitness and activity operator.”

One of the biggest sneaker and apparel brands in the world seems to have Hoboken in mind, as a prominent building along the city’s main thoroughfare may soon house one of its outlets.

A Baby Gap store at 222 Washington Street has already started offering discounts on its items, as it is expected to close next month. A separate retail space next to the store has been vacant for many years, but Nike is looking to change that with a redesign of the ground floor of the building.

The Hoboken Historic Preservation Committee heard plans at their Dec. 6 meeting to combine the two storefronts into a larger space covering approximately 7,000 square feet. The plan, designed by Nastasi Architects, will replace and reconfigure a front door while repairing lighting and repainting the exterior facade of the property.

The nomination submitted to the committee includes Nike’s signature “swoosh” on signage, but the brand has yet to publicly announce its intentions for the space. Nike did not respond to an inquiry we placed on whether the property will indeed house one of its outlet stores, a retail option that has yet to find its way to the county. Hudson.

Nike operates several of its outlet stores in Manhattan and one in downtown Newark near Prudential’s headquarters. The brand’s other Garden State locations are in malls such as Bergen Town Center in Paramus, Elizabeth’s The Mills in Jersey Gardens, Jackson Premium Outlets and Jersey Shore Premium Outlets in Tinton Falls.

Before Deion Sanders led Jackson State to an 11-1 record, including going an 8-0 SWAC conference undefeat and winning the SWAC Championship Game, Coach Prime put his team on “the game.”

Sanders invited Instagram model and Jackson State alumnus Brittany Renner to speak to Jackson State football players. The goal was to teach them to avoid transactional relationships as they progress through professional sports and non-sports careers.

When Renner was a student at JSU, she helped the football team win a SWAC title in 2010.

The essential difference

Although the reunion took place in October, the video of Sanders and Renner was recently posted on Instagram this week. Renner educated student-athletes on the new rules when the stakes are higher.

LeBron James to Young Dolph to JR Smith to Lil Boosie | Deion Sanders made HBCU Sports & Education a buzzing brand

“Naturally, if you play sports, it’s an incentive to talk to you,” Renner said. “Often women, men in general. Everyone wants something. Even though we have our own thing, it feels like it’s good to be with you because you increase my stock. I boost your stock. It’s so easy.”

Additionally, Renner told the team that his Instagram direct messages are “like a Nike store” full of blue ticks from artists and athletes.

Blue checks everywhere

“It’s like a Nike store — it’s just blue tiles. When you reach a certain status, you can have a choice of scope. I’m talking heavyweight.
“It’s a compromise, but you have to be aware of what you’re signing up for,” she said. “You are trying to make it to the NFL. You understand there’s a lot that comes with that, don’t you? To be able to decipher who really loves you for you, I think that’s the billion dollar question we all want to know.

When you win, accolades come | Deion Sanders Coach Prime Named Eddie Robinson Award Finalist

After raising the profile of HBCU gamers, Sander knows he’s unleashed the world-hunting beast. Bringing in Renner was his version of preemptive preparation for the team.

The Renner Way

From rappers like Drake and Lil Uzi Vert to ballers like James Harden, Jamal Murray, Ben Simmons and Charlotte Hornets player PJ Washington, with whom she has a child, Renner plays the weight game.

PJ Washington took to Twitter to respond to Brenner’s educational platform, which he no doubt appreciated.

Coach Prime took to social media to explain Renner’s reunion.

“It is my responsibility as a coach to prepare my young men for everything on and off the pitch,” Sanders wrote. “I brought in @bundleofbrittany to educate them on how the game is played between men and women at their age and stage. The message may not be for everyone, but believe me, it’s for someone.

On the game

Renner informed the players of the obvious. As their status grows, their visibility and addicts follow.

“Difficult to even get to the bathroom” | Deion Sanders celebrates Jackson State’s perfect ‘Primetime’ SWAC season despite health

“You just have to be aware – no one is here for nothing,” Renner said. “It’s just about knowing who might be there during times of adversity. And you could only know that through adversity. As if you had an injury and couldn’t play for a short time. These are things you are going to have to see for yourself.

A new application to convert the old Nike store in Broughton Park into a brand new PureGym has been resubmitted to county planners.

PureGym is a ‘no frills’ fitness club chain and is Britain’s largest gym chain with over 1,000,000 registered members at their gyms.

Most locations are open 24 hours a day and offer cardio equipment, fixed and free weights, and exercise classes, there are over 200 pieces of workout equipment at most gyms.

The sports hall operator originally submitted proposals to Flintshire Council in January 2019 for a new 1,069m² facility in Broughton Business Park.

The request for a new gymnasium in the double unit formerly occupied by Nike was approved shortly before the UK went into lockdown in March 2020.

PureGym’s interest in the site cooled when gyms were closed in the wake of the pandemic.

The unit was temporarily occupied by Aldo, the shoe retailer that fell into administration in June 2020.

Aldo signed a short-term lease and opened a pop-up shop selling discounted inventory.

The initial PureGym application allowed for the redevelopment of a unit with the addition of a 505 m² mezzanine.

If approved, the new plan will see “the simple conversion of the entire unit to accommodate Pure Gym plus the introduction of a 186m² mezzanine.

The current proposals would be slightly smaller than the original plan with a total floor area of 1,048 m².

The planning officer is currently reviewing the application based on “policies and all evidence and information received”.

Nike is the latest national retailer to join the list of tenants of Bayshore in Glendale.

The shopping center taken from facebook earlier this week, posting photos of storefront signage announcing that “Nike by Bayshore” will open winter 2022. According to a card on Bayshore’s website, Nike will occupy an 8,303 square foot space along N. Centerpark Way. The storefront previously housed Victoria’s Secret, which closed 250 stores last year, including its Bayshore location.

Bayshore declined to provide additional information, and Nike’s media relations department did not immediately respond to emailed questions.

Storefront signage includes a link to Nike’s retail jobs site. The new store is currently hiring department heads (known internally as coaches) and specialists, according to its website.

Nike has two outlet stores in southeastern Wisconsin, in Johnson Creek and Pleasant Prairie, but this will be the brand’s first full-line location in the state. Currently, the closest full Nike store to Milwaukee is in downtown Chicago.

Based in Oregon, Nike has 30 full-line stores, 204 outlet stores and 91 Converse stores in the United States. Its international footprint is larger, with a total of 723 retail stores.

Nike by Bayshore is proof of the mall’s ongoing efforts to reinvent itself, with its ongoing multimillion-dollar redevelopment and wave of new tenants. Target open last month in the former Boston Store space, and Crumbl Cookies plans to open early next year. Other recent milestones include renovations to the rotunda area, a new Total wine and more store and a renovated town square, called the court. Hundreds of new apartments are under construction, and a Culver’s Restaurant is planned on the north side of the property.
