See Kim Mulkey Receive Exclusive Nike Shoes Honoring Kobe, Gigi Bryant

LSU women’s basketball head coach Kim Mulkey sat at her desk in amazement when she opened a shoebox.

It contained a pair of new Nike Kobe 6 Protro ‘Mambacita Sweet 16’ boots.

Nike describes the shoes as honoring “the legacy that Kobe and Gianna ‘Gigi’ Bryant have built. One that has propelled all generations to pursue their quest to be better, for themselves and for the game that unites us all. To the fans who embodied the Mamba Mentality from the start and the young hoopers who furthered Gigi’s love for the game, this one’s for you.”

When Mulkey opened the box, she said, “Wow. Thank you, Vanessa.”
